Terms of Service
Last updated: May 7, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Morso API and website at morso.dev ("Service"), operated by Morso ("we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service Description
Morso provides a deterministic utility API for developers and AI agents. The API offers endpoints for text processing, code formatting, data conversion, and other computational tasks. All endpoints return deterministic results — no AI inference is involved in processing.
2. Accounts
You must authenticate via GitHub OAuth to create an account. You are responsible for all activity under your account and API keys. Do not share your API keys. If you suspect unauthorized use, revoke your keys immediately from the dashboard.
3. Billing and Credits
The Service uses a credit-based billing model:
- Free tier: 500 credits per calendar month, no payment method required.
- Standard endpoints: 1 credit per request.
- Premium endpoints: 5 credits per request.
- Free endpoints: No credits required, no authentication required.
- Paid usage: Credits beyond the free 500 are billed at $0.001 per credit via Polar.
Credits reset on the 1st of each calendar month. Unused credits do not roll over. You can add a payment method at any time to continue using the API beyond the free allowance.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Exceed rate limits or attempt to circumvent usage restrictions.
- Use the Service for illegal purposes or to process illegal content.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
- Resell access to the API without prior written consent.
- Submit content that is malicious, harmful, or violates third-party rights.
5. Rate Limits
Free (unauthenticated) endpoints are rate-limited per IP address. Authenticated endpoints are rate-limited per API key. We may adjust rate limits at any time. Exceeding rate limits results in HTTP 429 responses.
6. Data and Content
Data you submit to the API is processed in memory and not stored beyond the duration of the request, except for usage metadata (endpoint called, timestamp, credit cost). Binary outputs (images, documents) are stored temporarily and automatically deleted after 24 hours.
7. Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service is provided on a best-effort basis. We are not liable for downtime, data loss, or service interruptions.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may cancel your account at any time by revoking all API keys and canceling your billing subscription through Polar.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated via the website.
